Knapsack Match Machine

  •  Early octagon shaped match vendor utilized a clockwork mechanism and dispensed matches in a tin box. When the column was empty the next column rotated to the front. The front panel instructs to the customer "Drop One Cent In Slot," & the advertising tin of matches would drop through the chute. Very early match machine

Advance Match Machine

  •  The Advance Match Machine was patented by B. M. Davis who was a pioneer in vending. Really neat machine with glass dome and claw feet.  The bottom of the machine is cast. Insert a penny pull back handle and receive a box of matches. Nice example of a antique match machine

Diamond Match Machine

  • The antique match machine on the left was by Beaton & Caldwell Co, located in Britain Connecticut & is the earlier version.  The machine on the right was made by Edwards Mfg Co, located in Cincinnati.   Both machines have the round tops, the same gravity feed mechanism that could adjust the number of books vended from one to four.

Northwestern Sellem Match Machine

  • The top, front and base are all made beautiful ornate cast iron. The Sellem was the only model that with a cigar cutter and match holder. This machine offers one box of matches for a penny. They were originally available in white or green enamel and later was offered in antique silver.

  •  The Red Star match machine is an early 3 column match machine that is constructed of sheet metal. Insert a penny, turn handle and receive a box of matches.

Pix Match Machine

  •  The Pix Antique Match Machine is a variation of the Model D, which was 1st made by the Krema Mfg Co from 1914 through the mid 20's. In 1926 Specialty Mfg Co started mfg the Model D. Both companies sold to the Albert Pick Co as well as many other jobbers.   This Pix Match machine is 100% original with original decal.

La Clede Match Machine

  •  This is a cast iron 1 column penny match machiner -  all original with original decals. Measures 16" tall. To reload matches unlock top and reload. To remove pennies you unlock bottom plate. This is a really hard machine to find. Personally over the past 30 years I have seen only few on these.

  •  This is the first Version of the Griswold antique match machine that allowed the vendor change the paper insert to advertise whatever they wanted. The Base and lid are porcelain. This version is all original with original paper insert. This version was short lived and the next version was all porcelain.

  •  This machine was made by Griswold for the Independence Match Co. This machine is all original with original decal. My favorite is the crinkle paint and original decal. It is a penny machine and would vend 1 box of matches for a penny.

  •  This match machine does not take a coin, it just dispenses matches and was a advertiser. What attracted me to this  machine was the great advertising and the really cool original crackled paint. The globe is a glass cylinder globe.  Maker is unknown.

  • Made by Edwards mfg. Co. of Ohio-impressed " The Diamond Match Co., Patent Applied for-has original instructions on interior of back panel. The piece is built to originally sit on a counter top-It has gold stenciling -The machine is adjustable between one and four matchbooks for 1 cent

  •  Not sure who the maker of this antique match machine was. The machine is all original and the great graphics was what attracted me to this machine.

The Scup Match Machine

  • The Scup was a private - labeled machine made by the Northwestern Corp. Very Similar machine to the Northwestern  Sellem from the window down including filigree, cigar cutter, match holder, sides and Top. These came with the fish emblem in the window or a mirror. This machine is all original.

  • Specialty Mfg made 3 versions of this machine. All 3 had the two fire breathing dragons on front & are  nickel plated. All 3 had the same unique features. No 1 Advertiser had a space on front for advertising. No 2 didn't have a cigar cutter or match holder. No 4 was fitted with a detachable cigar cutter & match holder

  •  The Columbus Model 25 is a 2 column antique match machine that has the standard slide delivery system. Most have the Columbus Label on front but this one was private labeled for the Charles Denby Cigar Co. Machine is all original and I really like the original label advertising Charles Denby Cigars.

  • 2 column vendor and works on a penny. I purchased this machine about 10 years ago at the Chicago coin op show. Machine is all original with original decal. Tag on the bottom base reads "Then Ad-Lee Company Chicago"

Diamond Book Match Machine

  • This is the later version of the Diamond Book Match Machines. It offers 2 books of matches for a penny. The penny match machine has sheet metal body with a cast iron base and lid. I have been searching for one of these but all have been in really bad shape of repainted until I came across this one.  This machine is all original.

Columbus Model 30 Match Machine

The Columbus Model 30 match machine was only made in 1913 and 1914. It's a 2 column vendor with a center instead of a side delivery system. Insert a penny, slide handle and match box would be de;livered. This model was replaced by the Columbus model 25. Machine measures 14 1/2" tall. Match Machine is all original.

H. E. Winters Match Machine

  • The H.E. Winters Specialty Co. C. 1916. Machines measures 16.5” Very Similar to a Griswold match machine which is 15.5” tall. Until I saw Dave Small’s website I truly thought I had a Griwold Match machine. Dave’s website  is small vintage vending. Notice the word MATCHES on the side , it is matchsticks. All Original
